Well, it’s hard to believe that one week from today it will once again be opening day for spring salmon on the Miramichi River system! Overall the conditions are looking good for opening day and the start of another season. The river is clear of ice, so it will be a safe start, as anglers and guides alike will excitedly launch boats and hit the shores chasing the king of game fish, the Atlantic Salmon. And in a few short weeks, Brook Trout season will open along with Striped Bass season, both of which our guests always enjoy.
This year marks Country Haven’s 25th season opener which is a proud moment for owner/manager, Byron “Byzie” Coughlan, his family, and the amazing staff we have and we all very much look forward to welcoming back our wonderful guests from around the world, who have enabled us to accomplish this incredible milestone!
