Overall, it was a tough week of fishing on the Miramichi! With the high water level, the fish that were in the system kept moving right through and there were not a lot of fresh ones entering the system, however, with the full moon and high tides this week, we expect to see more of our fall runs now coming back into the system. The counters in Millerton was removed for a few days due to the high water but are now back up and running once again, showing better count numbers yesterday and today than were reported last week even with the not-so-great fishing. However, with so much good water access and excellent guides, we still managed to luck into landing some nice fish throughout the week. With conditions improving, fall in the air and more fish entering the system, we are looking forward to some good fall fishing to finish off the season.
