Another unforgettable Country Haven Miramichi Women’s Retreat is in the books! Laughter, learning, and with fish in the river made it a truly special time together. With beautiful weather, cold beverages, and great company, we’re already counting the days until our 2026 retreat!

This event would not have been possible without the incredible support of so many people, and we’d like to extend our heartfelt thanks:

First and foremost, our Retreat Leaders and Instructors – Lisa Weiner, David Flint, and Julia Carpenter – along with our ASF presenter, David Roth. Your time, knowledge, and passion made this retreat a rich and inspiring experience.

Second, our generous partners and supporters who donated prizes, gear, and services to make our time together even more exciting. Our gratitude goes out to: Hooké, Brock Curtis & Norma Brennan (Curtis Miramichi Outfitters), Atlantic Salmon Federation, Miramichi Salmon Association, Wayne O’Donnell & Rocky Brook Fishing Camp, Alan Bourgault (Alan Bourgault Woodworking), David Fenderson, Jayne Wilbur, Christer Sjöberg & Solid Tackle, Jerome Molloy, Brad Burns Fly Fishing, Steve Smith & Miramichi Fly Fishing School, Mitchell Roberts, Gary Berenson, Paul M White (Dirty Bombers), United Guides & Outfitters of New Brunswick (UGONB), Graeme MacKinnon & The Atlantic Salmon Museum, Cindy Havens, Don Logan, John Cleveland (Eppinger), Patrick Walsh (Outdoor Canada Magazine), Matt Hughes & Matt’s Fly Tying, Monte Burke, Tailwater Soap, Kyle Price & Fins ’n Feather Outfitting, GreyStone Brewing, Far Bank Enterprises, Tailwater Soap Company, Tight Lines NJ Fly Shop, and of course, our own Country Haven Miramichi with Byzie and Heather. (And if we’ve missed anyone please know how truly grateful we are!

Finally, a special thank you to our behind-the-scenes heroes our amazing kitchen team, who kept us fueled and happy, and our skilled guides, who made every moment on the water memorable.

With a full month left in the fishing season, many anglers and guides agree this is the best time to be on the Miramichi. The leaves are turning, the air is crisp, and the river is low but with jumping salmon. Don’t miss your chance to experience the beauty and excitement of the 2025 season get out there and enjoy it!
