We have already published a summary of the 2024 Country Haven Women’s Retreat and our thanks to the many supporters on Facebook. Still, we know not everyone is a Facebook user so we wanted to also write up a little river report here to share a few more photos of the event.
It’s really hard to capture the essence of what this weekend has become for Country Haven but these women anglers breathe life and energy into the camp and put us in the right mood to start our fall season. We had 100% of guests from our inaugural event last year return for a second year, a true testament of what this event means to them and how much they value each other in a place that is away from home where they can relax and simply enjoy nature and one another’s company. We were fortunate to expand the group this year too with a few more additions, all of whom fit in as if they had been here before! Our guides now look forward to this weekend because they know that women are great students of fly fishing and, unlike many men, they actually take instruction and guidance well! lol Importantly the group has fun and enjoys the social aspect of the gathering and sharing stories and laughter. And we benefit from this positive energy too so thanks to all of the leaders and participants not to mention those who generously donated prizes for the event, making it even more special.
A wonderful time was had by all and these photos really do a great job of capturing the interactions, laughter and mood of the event! We are already looking forward to welcoming back the women again next year for our 3rd Annual Country Haven Women’s Fly Fishing Retreat!
