Happy Easter Sunday to everyone We’re now just 10 days away from the long awaited opening day, on the Miramichi we are starting to see signs of life on the river after a relatively colder but many mild snaps throughout this winter.

The river is slowly opening up, with some stretches now free of ice while other sections remain locked in. Each day is bringing a little more movement and with some rain today and milder weather in the forecast we are all anticipating for a full breakup before the season begins as lots can happen in short time.

everyone is hoping to be back out on the water for opening day, and it won’t be long now until the boats are running and lines are in once again chasing the Atlantic Salmon on the amazing river system of the Miramichi!
