Late winter conditions are leaving the Miramichi frozen over with only a week remaining before season opener but with warmer conditions, light rain and the thin ice remaining in the last week, guides and locals have hope that it will be gone by opening day. As some stretches of the river opening and breaking away off the shorelines other places have already had ice move or melt out . With warm weather and little luck we will hopefully be on the water April 15th starting off another great season the Miramichi river.
