Spring fishing season has arrived and the Guides and our Kitchen Staff are ready to get going after a long winter season. Thankfully with the past week being sunny and warm, the sun has melted the majority of the river ice and anglers will be out tomorrow morning on opening day even though we thought we might have had a delayed start!
Many anglers love to be here on opening day to get out and enjoy the first catches of the year and hopefully tomorrow there will be plenty even with rising water and some river debris. Everyone will just be happy to be back out on the Miramichi for another season.
Surprisingly although we will have a busy weekend to start the season and our bookings are way up for the seasonwe just had a couple of last-minute cancellations and have availability for next week which could be a great time for early season spring salmon!
