July brought us two good weeks of fishing and two good weeks of swimming here at Country Haven. Overall, it was a more productive July than we have experienced over the past couple of seasons, although, as always, much depended on the conditions.
When the fishing was good, there were good numbers of both Salmon and Grilse around, along with a healthy number of Parr throughout the system. It is always great to see plenty of young fish in the river and a positive sign for the future.
A big thank you to all of the guests who visited us in July. Whether you came for the fishing, canoeing, or a cottage rental, we always enjoy welcoming visitors to the Miramichi and sharing this special place with you.
